Miniature Tonkori Necklace Making and Tonkori Performance
Visit a shop that makes tonkori (a traditional string instrument of the Ainu people) and try making a miniature tonkori necklace. You will use Ezo spruce, Japanese bigleaf magnolia, and other wood from Hokkaido trees, so you can take home a piece of Hokkaido.
You can also watch a live tonkori performance, try playing the tonkori yourself, or take photos while wearing traditional Ainu clothing. The tonkori plays only 5 notes, but it has a strange charming sound that you will surely appreciate.
