Wakasa Lacquer Chopsticks Finishing and Chopstick Rest Polishing

Try your hand at polishing Wakasa chopsticks, a traditional craft from the Wakasa area of Japan.

As you perform the finishing step of polishing the chopsticks, you can see colorful patterns and shell surfaces come out from beneath the black lacquer.

You can also try polishing a chopstick rest made of marble.

Time required 1 to 1.5 hours
・Wakasa lacquer chopsticks polishing: around 1 hours
・Marble chopstick rest polishing: around 30 minutes
※If you wish to try both activities, you can do the chopstick rest polishing after finishing the lacquer chopsticks polishing.
※Please indicate your preferred start time when you make a reservation.
Fee Wakasa lacquer chopsticks polishing: 3,300 yen per person
Marble chopstick rest polishing: 1,700 yen per person
